Referring GPs & Specialists

Looking for a physiotherapist or psychologist for your patients?

XRHealth offers the same outcomes as face-to-face clinicians, with additional benefits including:

  • Use of a virtual reality headset to make treatment engaging and interactive
  • Access to patient progress data and reports online and via the XRHealth mobile app. View an example Discharge Report here.
  • Safe home exercise and treatment programs

Physiotherapy

A recent physiotherapy pilot with Bupa showed that after 6 weeks, patients had completed 70% more sessions than prescribed. This indicates the power of physiotherapy using virtual reality telehealth.

Our physiotherapists can treat a range of conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Shoulder, neck and spinal arthritis
  • Bursitis, rotator cuff tendinopathy, frozen shoulder
  • Postural problems
  • Issues with full body aerobic capacity
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • ADHD
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
Telehealth physiotherapist services (without VR technology) can include:

  • All other musculoskeletal injuries (hip, knee, ankle injuries)
  • Post-operative rehabilitation

Our services can also be claimed by private health insurance, Medicare, and compensable agencies such as WorkSafe and road injury accident government bodies.

Psychology

We offer psychology consultations via telehealth, however patients also have the opportunity to trial Virtual Reality Psychology if they would like to incorporate this into their treatment as well.

Psychology using virtual reality is fun, engaging and relaxing. The fully immersive VR treatments help patients to manage feelings of stress and anxiety

It also better engages their mind, whether they are using the apps for meditation, relaxation or stress management.

We can see patients on a private consultation basis, or patients on a current Mental Health Care Plan.

Case Study: Ellen

Ellen experienced cervical pain consistently over the last 3 to 4 years. Ellen’s XRHealth licensed clinician diagnosed her with cervicalgia and lower back pain.

Her clinician set short and longterm goals and set a plan of care to use VR therapy 2x/week for 8 weeks.

After 8 weeks, Ellen experienced overall improvements according to self-reported and objective measures.

Case Study: Harry

Harry is a 74 year old male with right shoulder pain secondary to a fall that dislocated the right shoulder requiring surgery to correct in June 2019, after which Harry has experienced difficulty in his shoulder range of motion and strength, limiting his ability to perform his daily activities.

His clinician prescribed 1 physiotherapy session per week, for 7 weeks of treatment.

Harry has experienced improved shoulder strength and mobility, increased engagement with his exercises, and improvement in his home activities including yard work and washing the dog.
